WOOSTER, Ohio — Gwen Chamberlain, a 2005 Triway High School graduate, and Kristen Jackwood, Wooster High School class of 2003, have received the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center’s (OARDC) 2005 Family Scholarship Awards.

She has been accepted into the McDonough Leadership Scholars Program and rows with the college’s women’s crew team. Her father is a photographer in the Section of Communications and Technology on OARDC’s Wooster campus.

Jackwood, daughter of Daral and Renee Jackwood of Wooster, is a junior art major at Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio. Her father is a professor in the Food Animal Health Research Program at Wooster and is director of OARDC’s new Center for Diagnostic Assays.

The $500 awards, to be used toward tuition and other college costs, were presented by OARDC Associate Director David Benfield on behalf of the OARDC Family Scholarship Selection Committee in a luncheon ceremony in Wooster.

Funded by private donations to Ohio State University’s Campus Campaign, the awards are given each year to two dependents of OARDC employees.
