WOOSTER, Ohio — U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown and Michael Scuse, U.S. Department of Agriculture Deputy Under Secretary for Farm and Foreign Agricultural Services, visited the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) on Wednesday (9/1). Brown and Scuse held two roundtables with farmers from across the state, discussing strategies for improving government agricultural programs and policies that impact the grain, vegetable and dairy industries. They also toured OARDC's Wooster campus — including stops at the Honey Bee Laboratory, the Plant and Animal Agrosecurity Research facility (currently under construction), and quasar energy group's anaerobic digester in the BioHio Research Park.
