Scarlet, Gray, Green Fair Seeks Sponsors; Feb. 15 Deadline

January 18, 2011

WOOSTER, Ohio — Sponsor opportunities are available for Ohio State University’s fourth annual Wooster Campus Scarlet, Gray and Green Fair, set for April 19 at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) in Wooster.

Becoming a financial sponsor of the event lets individuals and organizations “demonstrate their commitment to and support of a healthier environment and a more sustainable society,” said Ohio State’s Allen Zimmerman, chair of the event’s planning committee. The deadline to sign up is Feb. 15.

The fair is a free public program focused on the environment and ways to improve it. “Green Is for Life!” is the theme. Last year’s event drew 2,000 people.

Call 330-287-1263, e-mail zimmerman.7@osu.edu or go to http://go.osu.edu/BhD for more information.

The sponsor categories are Green, $2,000 and up; Gray, $1,000-1,999; Scarlet, $500-999; and Buckeye, $100-499.

The sponsor lineup as of Jan. 18 already includes The Wooster Daily Record and Holmes-Wayne Electric Cooperative (Green); Murr Printing, Ohio State’s Agricultural Technical Institute, OARDC, Ohio State University Extension, the Romich Foundation, and Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (Gray); Buehler Food Markets, FritoLay, Kohl’s, OSU-Wooster Conference Services and The Wilderness Center (Scarlet);  and the Apple Creek Banking Co., the Commercial & Savings Bank, Lehman’s, Santmyer Oil, Smith Dairy, Wayne Savings Community Bank, and the Negev Foundation (Buckeye).
