OSU Extension Offers Workshops on Income Tax Preparation

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State University Extension will be offering nine two-day workshops in November and December for tax practitioners on new information and changes related to preparing state and federal state returns.

The Income Tax Schools provide up to 16 hours of continuing education credits for accountants, enrolled agents, financial planners and attorneys. The workshops cost $270, which covers all educational materials, rental of facilities, instructor fees, two lunches and four refreshment breaks. Late registration is $295, the deadline of which depends upon the specific workshop date.

"The workshops are intended for persons with income tax experience who prepare and file tax returns for individuals, small businesses and farmers," said Warren Lee, director of OSU Extension's Ohio Income Tax Schools. "The instructors will focus on changes and problem areas related to preparation of federal and state returns."

Participants will receive copies of the 2007 National Income Tax Workbook and the RIA 2008 Federal Tax Handbook.
