COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State University Extension will be hosting a Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) application workshop for individuals interested in applying for the 2007 North Central Region Farmer and Rancher Grant Program.
The workshop will take place Sept. 27 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. via video conference in 244 Kottman Hall, 2021 Coffey Road, on the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences campus in Columbus, Ohio, and in 130 Research Services Building, 1680 Madison Avenue, at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center in Wooster, Ohio.
Proposals for the Farmer and Rancher Grant Program are due Dec. 3. Funds will be available next spring. Individual farmers can apply for up to $6,000 for on-farm research, demonstrations, or education projects. Groups of three or more farmers can apply for up to $18,000 for group projects.
The SARE application workshop is designed to assist in the development and submission of SARE proposals. No registration is required to participate in the workshop. The workshop is sponsored by OSU Extension, North Central Region SARE, University of Illinois Extension, and Purdue University Extension.
