OSU Extension to Hold Weed Science Field Day July 11

SOUTH CHARLESTON, Ohio – Weed control will be the focus of the Ohio State University Extension’s Weed Science Field Day on July 11 at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) Western Agricultural Research Station. 

The event, which starts at 9 a.m., includes a wagon tour during which OSU Extension weed scientists will talk about the latest innovations in weed control.  Topics for discussion include herbicide evaluation plots, new herbicide demonstration plots, and an herbicide mode of action plan. The field day is sponsored by the OSU Agronomics Crops Team. 

The cost is $20, which includes a tour book and lunch.  Participants are encouraged to contact Bruce Ackley at ackley.19@osu.edu to ensure an accurate head count for lunch. 

The OARDC Western Agricultural Research Station is located at 7221 S. Charleston Pike, South Charleston, 45369, about 5 miles south of I-70 on State Route 41.
