COLUMBUS, Ohio — Individuals interested in aquaculture, fish diseases and hands-on diagnostic training are invited to attend a 2-day workshop at Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine Oct. 1-2.
The Fish Disease and Diagnostic Workshop is being sponsored by Ohio State's South Centers at Piketon and Ohio State's Veterinary Extension in collaboration with the Laboratory for Wildlife & Environmental Health in the Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. The registration fee is $375, which includes course proceedings, transportation to a fish farm, meals and refreshments.
Topics of discussion include fish anatomy and physiology, infectious diseases of fish, water quality and fish health, nutrition, quarantine procedures, fish vaccinations and therapeutics and field techniques.
