BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Homeowners, landscape specialists, horticulturists, and garden enthusiasts seeking to sharpen their garden designing skills have the opportunity to attend a daylong interactive workshop on basic design.
Designing the Small Space Garden will be held Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Simpson Garden Park in Bowling Green, Ohio. The event is being sponsored by Ohio State University Extension Agricultural Business Enhancement Center's Green Industry Center.
Registration is $100 and includes lunch and workshop materials.
Katherine Stokes-Shafer of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers will be the guest lecturer of the workshop. Stokes-Shafer will cover such topics as the design process, creating outdoor living spaces, designing themes, drawing to scale and plant graphics, functional diagrams and unique solutions for small spaces.
Credits will be given for Master Gardeners, and Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association garden center and landscape technicians.
