COLUMBUS, Ohio — Here are upcoming events involving Ohio State University’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences as of Jan. 4:

January

NEW: Jan. 10: Early registration deadline for Soil and Water Conservation Society Winter Meeting, which is Jan. 17 at the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Bromfield Building, 8995 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg. Reducing soluble phosphorus in surface water is the focus. Ohio State University Extension and Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center experts are some of the speakers. Registration, which includes lunch, is $25 by Jan. 10, $35 afterward. Jan. 13: Registration deadline for Livestock Mortality Composting Workshop, which is Jan. 18 at the Wyandot County Recycling Center, 11385 County Highway 4, Carey. Jan. 16-18: Ohio Produce Growers and Marketers Association Congress, Kalahari Resort and Convention Center, 7000 Kalahari Drive, Sandusky. Ohio State University Extension and Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center experts are some of the speakers; includes North American Raspberry and Blackberry Association Conference.
