Media Advisory: Ohio Governor John Kasich to Attend Farm Science Review

September 19, 2011

LONDON, Ohio – Ohio Governor John Kasich will attend Ohio State University's Farm Science Review (FSR), Sept. 20, for the Vice President's Luncheon.

The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Vice President’s tent located on Beef Street on the FSR exhibitor grounds. Media are invited to attend the event. Farm Science Review, Ohio's premiere farm show, will take place Sept. 20-22 at the Molly Caren Agricultural Center in London, Ohio.

OSU Vice President for Agricultural Administration Bobby Moser hosts the annual luncheon as part of the FSR kick-off activities. This month marks Moser’s 20th year as dean of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at Ohio State. He announced his impending retirement, upon selection of his successor, earlier this month.

Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee will also offer remarks during the luncheon. In addition, Farm Science Review Hall of Fame inductees will be honored.

The luncheon will be streamed live via the Internet for farmers and industry professionals who cannot attend in person. The live webcast can be viewed here: http://cfaes-impact.ning.com/.

Farm Science Review is sponsored by Ohio State University Extension, the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center, and the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. For more information, log on to http://fsr.osu.edu.
