COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor Jim Petro will speak tomorrow (4/28) at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center’s (OARDC) annual conference, to be held at the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center, 2201 Fred Taylor Dr., on Ohio State University’s Columbus campus.
Petro’s presentation, “Centers of Excellence and Priorities for Achieving Eminence for Higher Education in Ohio,” will take place at 8:45 a.m. The conference runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences -- of which OARDC is the research arm -- is home to the Board of Regents’ Center of Excellence in Agriculture, Food Production and Bioproducts, which was established last year to capitalize on the state’s diverse agricultural industry and address critical issues such as foods for health, food safety, biomedical nutrition and global food policy.
