Imprelis, Much More: Attend Ohio Turfgrass Research Field Day Aug. 10 in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The 2011 Ohio Turfgrass Research Field Day will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation's (OTF) Research and Education Facility in Columbus.
 
Registration costs $30 for OTF members and $40 for non-members. Checks may be made payable and mailed to the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation, 263 Regency Ridge Drive, Dayton, OH 45459. Ohio State University experts will offer a variety of presentations during the morning, covering topics such as broadleaf weed control, creeping bentgrass management, leaching of dissolved salts from root zones, annual bluegrass weevil, billbugs and chinch bugs, fungicide updates, late spring organic establishment of turf, tall fescue water use rate, new ryegrass, and strategies for enhancing performance of post-emergence crabgrass herbicide.
 
Additionally, at 1:30 p.m. there will be a presentation by David Gardner, Ohio State's Department of Horticulture and Crop Science, on "Imprelis: Herbicidal efficacy and non-target safety."
 
The OTF Research and Education Facility is located at 2710 North Star Road, Columbus.
